The Wonders of Tie-Dye

In last week’s episode of Project Runway, contestants were challenged with making their own prints using tie-dye. My initial thought was that all of the designs would come out looking like a bad summer camp activity. While some looks were more successful than others, I was really surprised by how this week’s winner’s look turned out. During the challenge, the fabric used for the winning design was entirely browned out, with the colors mixing in a very ugly combination, but once it dried and was properly washed, the material looked super expensive. I never would have thought that it came from tie-dying. It amazes me how something that originally looked terrible could transform into something great while it was still undergoing a chemical process. Check out the other looks in the link below!
