Warner Bros. has recently refreshed their logo to appeal to the younger generation. While the new logo is significantly different, with only a sleek blue and white design, it is still instantly recognizable as the WB brand. Design agency, Pentagram, decided to get rid of the bulky gold outline and actually took inspiration from the WB logo from its earliest years back in the 1920’s. I think it’s pretty cool whenever companies decide to go retro, as it tends to evoke a classic and more authentic feel. Still, this redesign maintains the company’s familiarity and professionalism. The only possible issue with the new logo is that it is very similar to the Looney Tunes logo, which may trigger a sense of immaturity in some consumers.
