A view of Cats, without the cats of course

After sitting through three viewings of the movie adaptation of Lloyd Webber’s Cats over this self-isolating spring break, I tried to find some redeeming qualities to the critically-panned box-office bomb. From the lacklustre vocal performances and the strange, and frankly, freakish features on the felines, it was hard to find something to like but I started to notice the beautiful sets as opposed to the crazy CGI cats. The settings were very distinct and visually rich, so this interview with the production designer sheds more light onto one of the more respectable aspects of the movie.
