What you see is what you get

Since in class we have limited ourselves to black and white and (generally) simple shapes, I wanted to learn more about the history of this type of art. I came across this article that gives background about Minimalist Art. Although project 1 is not quite Minimalist Art because we not focused around very geometric shapes, it does have some elements of it like the simplicity. Specifically, the art work by Frank Stella presented in this article reminded me of some of my peers’ work. https://magazine.artland.com/minimalism/
