Textiles in a Reflective World

Samara Golden is a contemporary artist that specializes in the use of limited space to create more apparent space, often through the use of mirrors and hidden spaces. I saw her work at the Whitney Biennial in 2017 and was pleased to find out that she is about to have an exhibition at the Fabric Workshop Museum in Philadelphia–a place I was previously apprenticed at. The museum specializes in textiles, and the exhibited art must build upon the museum resources in some way. I am looking forward to seeing how that works with her specialties, which lie seemingly far removed from the museums own focus.
