Sustainability and good design

I came across this video while I was doing research for our public proposal piece. It is about the Danish furniture company Mater which only uses sustainable materials in creating their pieces. I really liked the vision of the founder who was the first to do this as he took materials that pollute our waters and created more durable items for the home. I just like the simplicity of the idea and it made me realize that it is easy to change the way things are with minor design alterations. If more companies could implement sustainable processes and designs they would shift consumer behavior in the right direction.
